oilandgasconsultations@beis.gov.uk is the email to use to expose the greenwash of the ‘checkpoint’ consultations on new oil and gas licenses in the North Sea and point out that the International Energy Association (IEA) has said there must be NO new oil or gas projects. The government is saying one thing and doing the opposite.

HEADING FOR EXTINCTION: the leafleting paid off
Our in-person meeting on 15th February attracted nine new Rebels, with a fair few more intending to join us but unable in the end. We are heartened! Now we need to invite them and all our friends and supporters to commit to rebelling from April 9th. We’re grateful to Lisa Hill from Talks and Trainings SE for delivering an updated and stunning presentation.
DATES FOR YOUR DIARY
The conditions are ripe for change. With a simple unstoppable rebellion design we will tip the scales once again towards radical change on the climate and ecological emergency.
Book time off work from April 9th to 17th and Join the Rebellion. Be ready to continue in civil resistance in London on at least the following three weekends:
- SAT/SUN 23rd-24th APRIL
- SAT/SUN 30th-1st May
- SAT/SUN 7th-8th MAY
Had Sue not been poorly, she would have taken along copies of her new fundraising book for XR, which draws on her activism last year in poetry, essays and fictionalised short stories. See STILL REBELLING FOR LIFE. Sue hopes this book will recruit more Rebels and encourage those already committed to step up as 2022 requires, so do consider giving copies to family and friends.
